A Natural Beauty 

Surrounded by mountains and lakes, Hot Springs offers beautiful scenery and numerous outdoor activities. Lake Hamilton and Lake Catherine border the City and provide 328 miles of shoreline. Lake Ouachita, just 30 minutes from downtown Hot Springs, has 40,000 acres of crystal clear water and nearly 700 miles of unspoiled shoreline. Boating, water-skiing, fishing, and other water sports are frequent scenes on all these lakes. Many parks, adjacent to the lakes, offer camping and hiking. Hot Springs has 9 city parks which offer a wide range of recreational facilities. 

Historic Hot Springs National Park 

In the heart of downtown Hot Springs lies historic Bathhouse Row. The stunning bathhouses surrounded by tree lined walkways and the Grand Promenade provide a magical setting for tourists and residents alike to enjoy. A hot spring display shows how the springs originally appeared cascading down the mountainside. 

Thoroughbred Racing at Oaklawn Park 

The best horses, the best jockeys, and the best purses make Oaklawn park a winner for thoroughbred racing.

Hot Springs is well equipped when it comes to golf courses; two private country clubs offer 63 holes for play, nearby planned communities have 7 more courses, and there are two public, daily fee courses. 

Tennis 

Two private country clubs offer 8 clay courts and 10 hard courts, as well as a fitness club with 4 hard courts and 13 public courts. 

Community Involvement 

There are many opportunities to become involved in some of the great clubs, organizations, churches, and festivals in Hot Springs.
